Pat was brought up in a National Hunt Stud in the South of Ireland. He enlisted as a Cadet in 1968 Commissioned Lieutenant in 1970 – 25 years as a serving Officer and retired Commandant in 1993. Pat went to Japan as Manager/Trainer in a 270-horse pre-training centre.
Retired to Ireland in 2003/04. In 2004 he became Stud Manager at Highclere where he first met Tony & Lesley Smith and because of this chance meeting came to Ermyn Lodge in 2006.
Summer joined Ermyn Lodge from the British Racing School in 2021 as a Groom. She has succeeded in her licence application and has had a ride on the racecourse at Lingfield in 2023. She is currently Self Employed as a regular Work Rider. Summer also runs content to social media platforms.
Started riding at 7 at a local riding school. His first job in racing was as a Groom with Philip Mitchell in Epsom in 1991. Whilst with Philip he went to America with Running Stay and achieved group success in Boston.
He has worked for Roger Curtis and Roger Teal and came to Ermyn Lodge in 2016 as Head Lad. Tony still rides daily and apart from his duties as Head Lad he also runs the transport for the stud and racing business.
Educated at Nescot College, Annie has been around horses all her life and came to Ermyn Lode in 2020.
Annie has improved her skills to become a Work Rider and also became Breeding Stock Head Girl. She assists with foaling and breaking and all duties in the breeding yard. She hopes to one day to be a Stud Manager.
Educated at Hadlow College, specialising in Equine Management. She completed work experience with Martin Brassil in Ireland and at Fontwell Racecourse.
Jorja came to Ermyn Lodge in September 2023 and has improved her skills to the level of Work Rider on a regular basis.
Educated at Nescot College and the British Racing School. Sophie came to Ermyn Lodge in early 2024 and is now in charge of the Breeding Barn under supervision and assists with all day-to-day duties within the yard.
